I recently ran across a copy of Tinker
, by Wen Spencer. I remember seeing this a while ago, but I never got around to picking it up. I'm so glad I finally did! The mix of science and magic in this is great (magic spells fueled by electricity, operating through quantum mechanics), and the main character - Tinker - is a lot of fun to read.
