Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop

The weekly Book Blogger Hop is brought to you by Crazy For Books. Just click on the link to get the rules and to participate. It's a lot of fun and a great way to meet new book bloggers!

This week's question is: Do you listen to music when you read? If so, what are your favorite reading tunes?

Surprisingly, no, considering the topic of this blog. But then, I like to give my full attention to music when I listen to it, and the same with books. Of course, with books, it's hard not to give my full attention - the rest of the world kind of disappears when I'm reading. (Drove my parents crazy, when I was a kid.)

I come up with song/book connections when I'm listening to music - I'll be listening and thinking about the song and have a book pop into my head. (Then rush to write the combination down for a future post.)

I just did a music post today. Music for writing:
Cake
Ingrid Michaelson
Coldplay
John Mayer
Creed
I usually throw in some old Nirvana or Pearl Jam
I actually realized that it changes drastically from one WIP to another. This would take me a whole post to answer ;)

I am surprised to find you don't listen to music whilst reading, but it does make sense - clear palate for inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hope you have a great weekend!!

Leah - I tend to get so wrapped up in what I'm reading that I don't hear anything. Listening to music is a waste, since I'm not aware of it anyway. :)

Just hopping in to say Hi. I find it amazing that you can think of suitable music to match books. I can barely remember song titles even those with music I like. :-)
