Are you a
Christopher Stasheff fan? I have to admit, I was madly in love with Magnus D'Armand (aka
Gar Pike) throughout my teens, and Stasheff's
Warlock![](http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=literarysoundtrack-20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=)
books had a big impact on the way I see the world, even now. Well, he finally has a website up (I have been wishing for years that I could find him online), and he's offering a free short story from his Warlock universe, "
King John's Treasure". Hopefully there will be more to come!
*sigh*

have nothing on Magnus. He was so delightfully tortured. All he needed was the right woman...

Don't they all!
It's the ultimate romantic fantasy, isn't it? The sad/bad/lonely hero/rake/outlaw who will find his happiness/peace/joy in life, once he realizes he loves and is loved by the perfect woman. :) Fun in fiction, but a really bad idea to pursue in real life.
